Who we are
Scott "skinny" Eney
Skinny has more than 20 years experience in carpentry and related trades. He has remodeled historic homes, led the construction of indoor rock-climbing walls, and worked with private and retail customers to provide customized spaces and furnishings. He enjoys the design-build process and takes pride in careful work on jobs of all sizes.
He started out working for his father, an electrician. After college, he spent four years restoring historic homes in Baltimore city as lead carpenter for a remodeling contractor. Then he followed the call of the West to Colorado and landed a job with one of the nation’s premier indoor climbing wall builders, Eldorado Wall Company. He spent several years as job leader, traveling the continent building climbing walls and learning new trades, including masonry and welding.
One of these jobs brought him to Triangle Rock Club in North Carolina. After building that gym’s new climbing wall, he stayed on as facility and project manager through eight years of the facility’s establishment, growth, and expansion.
Skinny is an avid trail runner (completing numerous ultramarathons), rock climber, gardener, motorcyclist and chicken wrangler.
